Frequently asked questions
Massage therapy
-
You can wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Loose-fitting or stretchy clothing is recommended, so that your movement is not restricted. If possible, avoid clasps or fastenings that are tricky to undo/do up, and garments that are very special or delicate. Remember to bring an extra layer to keep warm afterwards!
-
For most massage therapy treatments, you’ll be asked to undress to your underpants, but you will always be covered by towels or linens. Your therapist will leave the room while you undress, get on the massage table and cover yourself up.
During the treatment, only the part of your body that is being worked on will be uncovered (such as your back, your arms and shoulders, or your legs) and it will be covered up again before moving on to the next area.
If you don’t feel comfortable undressing, that’s okay — you can still benefit from massage therapy. Please mention this during your consultation. Options include focusing on areas that are easy to access without undressing (like the hands/arms, feet/lower legs, head and face) and/or using techniques that can be done through clothing.
‘Clothes-on’ treatments are also a good option for group events hosted in more public venues.

I use massage wax (not oil), which allows me to connect with your tissues and work more slowly, sensitively, and deeply. It is readily absorbed into the skin and leaves you feeling moisturised but not greasy. Any excess can easily be rubbed off with a towel.
I typically have a range of scented and unscented products available to choose from and will discuss this with you before the start of your treatment.
Some of the products I use contain beeswax, but I always have vegan options available too.
If you have any allergies, please mention this during your consultation. I always have products that are certified ‘nut free’ by the manufacturer. Please ask if you would like more information about the ingredients.

Massage therapy treatments are available to adults aged 18 and over.

The massage table can support a maximum weight of 205 kg (that’s 32 stones, or 450 lbs).
It measures 185 cm (6’ 1”) long, but the face cradle provides a little more length when you’re lying on your stomach. If you’re taller than this, please be aware that your feet may hang off the end. The table is 68 cm (2’ 3”) wide.
Bookings
-
Appointments for individuals, and the most popular packages for two people, are available to book online up to two months in advance. If you can’t find a time that suits or if you’d like to plan further ahead, please get in touch to enquire about availability.
Group packages can also be booked further ahead. Please fill in the group package enquiry form and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible — usually within 24 hours.
-
For new clients, appointments must be booked at least two days in advance — this is to allow time for your consultation call before the appointment.
Next-day and same-day appointments cannot be booked online, but are occasionally available to existing clients. Please get in touch to enquire.
-
All new clients receive a free consultation call before their first appointment. When you book or enquire, I’ll be in touch to arrange a convenient time for this conversation. We’ll discuss how you’re feeling and what you’d like to get from your treatment, to make sure the treatment will be suitable for you and tailored to your needs.
If you’ve enquired about a bespoke group package, we’ll talk about your event and the requirements for your group’s treatments.
For mobile services, the consultation call is required for all new clients and venues, as we need to check the important practical details for your venue before confirming your booking.
The consultation call is usually done via a secure videocalling platform called Cliniko Telehealth. You will receive a joining link by email along with instructions on how to join the call.
-
Online bookings must be paid for at the time of booking. Card payment is processed via Stripe.
If you contact me to book, you’ll receive an invoice with instructions for how to pay. New clients are asked to pay in advance by card or bank transfer. Existing clients also have the option to pay in cash at the start of their appointment, by prior arrangement.
-
Mobile services are available across West Cornwall, anywhere from Newquay and Truro down to the Lizard and Land’s End. Check the interactive map to find out if your home, holiday accommodation or venue is within the service area.
Appointments are available upon request at treatment rooms in and around Penzance. Please enquire for more information.
-
If you need to change the date, time or length of your appointment, please email hello@seaeagleholistic.com or reply to your booking confirmation email. Please give as much notice as possible.
Up until 48 hours before the appointment time, you can make changes (subject to availability) free of charge and any deposit or pre-payment will transfer to the new booking. Less than 48 hours before the appointment time, changes are non-refundable.
-
If you need to cancel your appointment, please email hello@seaeagleholistic.com or reply to your booking confirmation email. Please give as much notice as possible.
For standard appointments: If you cancel more than 48 hours before your appointment time, any pre-payment will be refunded minus an admin fee of £2.50 per person/treatment. Less than 48 hours before the appointment time, cancellations are non-refundable. If you do not attend your appointment, this is treated as a late cancellation and is non-refundable.
For bespoke group packages: A 25% deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the balance due 48 hours before the scheduled start time. If you cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time, the deposit will be retained but any further payments made towards the balance will be refunded. Less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time, cancellations are non-refundable.
Mobile services
-
Mobile services are available across West Cornwall, anywhere from Newquay and Truro down to the Lizard and Land’s End. Check the interactive map to find out if your home, holiday accommodation or venue is within the service area.
For locations slightly further afield, please get in touch as we might be able to figure something out.
-
Your venue must have a suitable space, big enough to set up the massage table (2 metres by 3 metres at the very least — that’s roughly 6 feet by 10 feet) with a power socket nearby.
You will also be asked to provide:
Convenient parking (as close to the property as possible)
Access to bathroom and handwashing facilities
Wifi access
Use of a microwave (for warming up hot compresses — optional)
Due to the bulky equipment required, it is not possible to deliver a mobile service at every venue. You’ll be asked to provide access information (any stairs, uneven ground, narrow hallways, etc) so that we can make sure the space will be suitable before confirming your booking.
-
It’s possible, but only if the outdoor space is covered and fully protected from rain and sun. The weather in Cornwall can change quickly, so we wouldn’t want anyone to get drenched — or sunburned.
-
When you book a mobile service or a bespoke group package, you’ll receive an email with all the practical information, including estimated timings. Once the equipment is unloaded, it usually takes around 15 minutes to set up, but this may vary depending on the space and access.
As well as the treatment time, extra time is factored in for consultation. When booking a package of two or more treatments, please be aware that treatments will take place one after the other, with a short gap between treatments to reset the space. At the end of the booking, all equipment will be packed away as efficiently as possible.
-
This is subject to the policies of the hotel or holiday property. Please check with your accommodation provider.

We are happy to offer group packages for hen parties and many other types of celebrations and events, but regret that we cannot accept bookings for stag parties or similar.
Please note, we are unable to provide treatments to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and advise against drinking alcohol after massage therapy, as staying well hydrated helps you get the full benefits of your treatment.
We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards inappropriate and abusive behaviour, which will result in the treatment being terminated immediately with no refund issued.
