About
Hi, I’m Rachael, nice to meet you
I qualified in massage therapy with the Jing Institute of Advanced Massage Training, an internationally renowned school in sunny Brighton. I have a diploma in holistic and deep tissue massage therapy and I’ve completed a foundation course in advanced clinical massage techniques.
I’m fully insured with Balens.

I’m currently working towards a professional certificate in advanced clinical massage therapy, which I’m due to complete in late 2026.
During this year-long course, I’ve been training in the Jing Method™ for the treatment of chronic pain — an evidence-based and outcome-focused approach that combines techniques from several different disciplines (including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, advanced sports stretching, Swedish massage, craniosacral therapy, shiatsu and acupressure) to help reduce pain, increase range of movement, and improve quality of life for people experiencing various long-term pain conditions.

I’ve worked in the charities sector for years, and, before that, in biomedical sciences research, so massage therapy weaves together a topic that fascinates me with a skill that helps people in a profound, yet practical way.
Having practised yoga since my teens, I’ve done a 200-hour teacher training in Ashtanga and vinyasa yoga (Alpha Yoga School) and a 20-hour foundational training in trauma-sensitive yoga (Center for Trauma and Embodiment).
I also had the privilege of studying with keepers of Maya indigenous spiritual wisdom in the highlands of Guatemala, where I learned traditional abdominal and womb massage (Atitlán Herbals).

All these experiences influence how I approach and practice massage therapy — with curiosity and reverence for all beings, with the embodied awareness of a moving meditation, and as medicine for body, mind and spirit.
